Spend SXSW with the Best of Young Tech

What is Interact?

Interact ATX is a community of the brightest young entrepreneurs in the startup scene. The 2013 Interact class will meet at SXSW Interactive this March, backed by phenomenal sponsors and highly discounted badges. We have partnered with the Thiel Fellowship and universities across the country to help start great conversations and build a powerful network. Interact is bringing prominent VCs and key members of the tech community to meet our fellows, and will be hosting several events to bring it all together.

Sails Hackathon

One of our generous sponsors, Balderdash, is organizing a hackathon promoting their killer NodeJS framework, Sails. Check out the Eventbrite for more information: Sailshacks.eventbrite.com . All submissions must be made to hackathon.io/sails-hackathon

Sails is the best & fastest way to build powerful, real-time web applications. Sails borrows the MVC design pattern from the well-known Ruby on the Rails framework, but is built on top of NodeJS, the powerful back-end, async JavaScript framework. The Sails framework was developed by Mike McNeil (@mikermcneil) and is maintained by Balderdash (@balderdashy), a realtime web & mobile studio based in Austin. Check out the Sails Github page for more deets -- https://github.com/balderdashy/sails.

We will be holding the judging on Sunday, at 2 PM, at the Longhorn Startup Camp (7th floor of 1616 Guadalupe). Our 4 judges have graciously lent their time during an otherwise extremely busy weekend, so we are looking forward to all the great hacks people are building! For more information on judges & location and to sign up to attend, please visit our Eventbrite: Sailsjudging.eventbrite.com
